Engineers invent solutions to individual problems everyday. Innovators help change our world for the better by creating solutions that impact society. Have you ever wondered what it would take to become part of one of the many teams innovating the next big thing?

The Transforming Invention into Innovation seminar will introduce tools and concepts from the innovation space.
  • Product - Market Fit: The easiest way to avoid the single biggest failure mode of most great ideas, ‘build it and they will come.’
  • Ecosystem Map: Everyone asks how your invention will change the world, innovators ask 'what new opportunities will be created?’
  • Ownership and Equity: How can you own a piece of what you are helping create? What is a stock option and what is it worth? Innovators know how to reap the rewards of their innovations.

Innovators exist everywhere across academia, start-ups, and established businesses. Come to this 90 minute seminar if you are interested in learning more about how to become a contributing member wherever you go in your career.

Registration is required by 6/8, at  Sponsored by the CoE Office of Graduate Education.  For more information, email
