Understanding Cultural Norms to Avoid Social Mistakes in the U.S.

1017 HH Dow

Presented by the International Center.

Each culture has norms established that are usually unwritten and may be unclear to people who are new to that culture. Part of adjusting to a new country is learning about what to do and what not to do in social situations. This interactive workshop will highlight 10 common U.S. cultural norms and expected behaviors that could save you from discomfort or embarrassment later.

Registration is not required for this event.
